    From doing a quick search online I have found prices to be all over the place and free images hard to come by. What resources should I check out to get some basic stock images?

    Remember, important to use released images for anything you publish, even on the internet.

    Pictures that turn up on google are not released photos, and if you use them commercially, there's always a chance that someone will come along and give you a hard time.

    A place like IstockPhoto will cost you a total of $2-3 per image, and they're released, so no risk to you.
