    Hi All,
Nick just installed my fuseblocks in a RHD GT4 in the UK. He reported that the right and left fuseblocks are reversed in his car from the way they are on the LHD US cars. I have never had anyone in the UK report this issue with a RHD car, and in fact have had at least one UK customer confirm to me what I was 99% certain of--that the right-left configuration doesn't change from RHD to LHD cars. Yet, Nick's are "backwards." It makes no difference functionally-- if you look at the layout of the bus bars on the back of the OEM blocks and the replacements and just match them. But if you do not do this, you can have the blocks backwards. I doubt any harm would come to the car, but there would be circuits that would not work, and circuits that would not stop working when they should (i.e. key shut off).

So, I'm trying to track down a definitive answer to this. I went to the owner's site and can't find any 308 GTB/GTS/GT4 owner's manuals for the UK spec cars. The only RHD manuals I can find are the Australian versions, which I downloaded. They all say that the block arrangement conforms to LHD spec (i.e. NOT mirror-imaged from the LHD to a RHD car).

    So here are my questions:

    1. Is there such a thing as a UK-specific owner's manual?
    2. If so, why are they not on the owners site and where can I find one?
    3. Any other thoughts?

    Thanks

    Birdman

At that time there were only Euro manuals eg 124/76 for GT4 which may or may not help with rhd - the parts books eg 145/77 for GTB/GTS do however have specific sections - this tends to all mean that the wiring diagram is even more of an indication than gospel than usual for LHD

    Hi Birdman,

I'll take a photo of my fuseblocks when I get a change and post them so you can compare with Nicks

I also found that the relays were in totally different position from the manual diagram and had to pull them out one by one to determine which one powered which function on my car!

My handbook (Uk 1974 car) just says Printed in Italy - Cat 91 / 74

It is in italian, french and english

It shows a LHD car on the diagram for the fusebox.

I would have to compare the sequence / labelling of the fuses to see if they were backwards in the car. Mine is an early car so they are in the glovebox.....

It does state LEFT and RIGHT boxes though!
