Does anyone know where to get the Capristo Open Valve system remote in the tampa bay area? And how much does it cost for the 458?

I ordered from Capristo directly and had my local dealer install it, best upgrade ever. I drive with the valves open 90% of the time and it sounds amazing! I think I paid around $1100 installed . Paid $650 for the part and $450 labor but I can't recall exactly..

This takes only an hour to install. Two hours at most if they're milking the job.

Having said that, I just ordered mine for a fraction of the price of the Capristo one. And yes, it works and functions exactly the same, and comes with two remotes as well. :)

Please share - what brand and where did you order from? I have asked my dealer to install the Capristo when my Spider arrives in June. But, if there is an equivalent less costly alternative I'm sure they will be happy to install. Thanks.

Will PM you the details Dick, as I do not believe they are a sponsor of this particular forum (but are on others). I also ordered my lowering springs and wheel spacers from them. Again, at a fraction of the price. :)

Does your design work on the 458?
And... aren't you supposed to be a forum sponsor to be advertising product for sale??

Actually, one only has to be a Silver or Rossa Subscribed to advertise products for sale. The forum moderators track that pretty closely. If one is not Silver or Rossa, you are not allowed to post anything over in the "for sale" threads.

I believe Forum Sponsors have to pay additional and they get to have their logos posted within the forum.

To your question ... If the Capristo works on the 458, my design should work. Their functions and connections are the same. The logic for controlling the valves is the same for all modern Ferrari's ... a solenoid controlled vacuum valve is connected with a two-conductor plug. This plug receives power (the positive side) from a fuse box. The ECU then controls the negative side ... it toggles the negative between open and closed to control the vacuum valve solenoid. Closing the circuit opens the solenoid valve which applies vacuum to the bypass valve which then closes or opens (depending on the initial state of the bypass valve.) My device (and Capristo's) merely intercept that negative signal to allow you to open the bypass valve at any time or return the valve to ECU control.

Should anyone install my kit on their car and cannot get it function, you can return the kit to me for refund.

I have only sold one kit to a 458 owner and as soon as I have feedback, I will report back in.

    Regards,

    Steve

We have installed our valve controller on several new Ferraris where the customer did not want to change any components of the exhaust but still wanted an increase in sound. Fabspeed's Valve controller can be operated both VIA the key fob operation or dependent on RPM (Like the factory valves, however you can adjust the open/close points)

The nice part about Fabspeed's valve controller is that when you have your valves closed, they will remain off throughout the RPM band instead of reverting to the stock settings. This has obvious advantages for being stealthy when needed, and when you open the valves, boy oh boy!

PM me if you have any questions :)

Thank you for explanation on both the sponsor rules of selling and how your design works. I just had one installed by another company that designed his own as well.

Anyone done the exhaust valves on a Speciale? My installer found the Italia easy to do, but I'm thinking the new aero might make things trickier.
