I am having my first issue with a non available part for my 308. It appears that the low pressure braided fuel hose going from the fuel tank to the fuel pump is no longer available. This hose is 15mm inner diameter. I tried Algar Ferrari, UK Ferrari and T Rutlands without any luck. It appears that the only hose available is a non-braided hose. While the newer non-braided hose will probably work fine, I am anal would like the OEM braided hose. Where can I purchase this hose?

    Thanks.

This place has some of that braided hose, but it is not listed on their web site. They sell online, so you can probably call and order over the phone.

Just a thought....does it have to be braided? Doesn't Gates make something equivalent?

I think the issue with this hose is to make sure you get one with a thick enough wall - it goes through quite a sharp bend & if its not thick enough it will tend to kink/collapse.

Correct. I replaced mine, but the one taken off was not braided either- the car came with very good records and no indication that it had been replaced in the past. Who knows, that receipt could have been lost?

Here is what I used and it's been fine.

Thanks for the info guys. Does anyone know the OD (outer diameter) for the hose? I thought it was 22mm, but could be wrong. Wurth has the hose I need, but the OD is 20mm which may be a little thin. I do not want the hose to crimp after i install it.

    Thanks.

be carefull with some of the aeroquip hose as it is very stiff and you may have a hard time getting it over the fittings. I bought some 7mm aeroquip to do my carbs and could not get it over the fittings. CBperformance a major VW player has the good german stuff by the foot and I believe they can help you with 15mm.

Check with local race shops, I'm sure they have -6 braided line in stock. Or try www.hose-man.com

Oh might check with aeronautical supply shops (aka airplane stuff) they usually double in hotrod/racecar as many of the parts are used in both applications.
