    really, tire warmers? Curious what you are looking to do (i.e. why?).

    Most DOT tires will come up to temp pretty quickly, if you are tracking a good warmup lap and you should be good to go in most cases. I also use that lap to warm myself and the brakes/engine/gearbox up.

    Race tires that are optimal at higher temps could benefit from some pre-warming, especially if you are doing hot swaps or some need to get max grip instantly, but one lap using the right techniques gets them going...plus very few series allow their use anyway.

    I did some track testing last winter (very cold, but clear/dry). In cold temps was impossible to keep any temps in the tires

    ah...sort of retract my prior. Autocrossing, that makes sense....
