    I have seen many 348s with chrome wheels and I was wondering if that was an option from the factory or were the wheels chromed after by some other company? Thanks.

    I've seen this question come up several times here, and I don't believe I've ever seen anyone come up with any evidence that chrome wheels were a factory option on the 348. Some 348's (like mine) had chrome wheels installed as a dealer option or aftermarket addition. Not from the factory, as far as I know.

    I would agree with Jeff on this. I was told by a dealer that the factory never did a chrome option. I owned a '93 SS, that bought in '96, and it had chrome wheels on it but they were done by the dealer when the car was new. FWIW it also had gold/brass plated horse emblems on it too. The car came new from Newport Imports in So. Cal so that probably answers the WTH guestion LOL. Regards,
