I still see them on ESPN2 every so often, but it's usually off-hours or on a weekend.

The WSM qualifiers should begin later this weekend, but unfortunately, we only get to see the results on ESPN around Christmas time in December. I cant wait!!!!!

Mariusz aka the Dominator or Pudzian is the greatest strongman that every graced the competition field. Not only has he won more titles than ANY other strongman with 5, but he has literally cemented his greatness time and time again with legendary performances. A pair of Icelanders, Jon-Pall Sigmarsson RIP and Magnus Ver Magnusson, have each won the contest 4x a piece. Jon-Pall was in a league of his own and Magnus just had enough in the tank to outlast the field, and believe me his field was exceptionally difficult. Kazmaier is the greatest as far as brute strength. There will NEVER be another like Kaz, but Pudzian is from another galaxy. He is truly the epitomy of what a strongman athlete should look like. Not sure of the competitors this year, but the US finally has a few guys that are definitely championship material with Derek Poundstone leading the pack. He is the best to come from the US since Kaz. He nearly beat Pudzian in 2008, as it came down to the last stone. A situation the Dominator has been in before, and lost to Pfister back in 2006, with the most epic of comebacks of all time. The final stone slipped off the edge for Poundstone and Pudzian made sure to capitalize on that mistake and seal his record 5th title. But when it comes down to pure brute strength and power, make no mistake about it, Zydrunas Savickas of Lithuania is the best of the best. His record speaks for itself. He has won the Arnold 7x in a row and broke HIS OWN records in the process! He is the modern day Louis Cyr. It should be a great year in any case. I cant wait til they air the WSM late December!
