    Hi Robert,
Unfortunately it hasn't survived intact - the body and interior were for sale on Ebay on 7 May 2012. I don't know what happened to the mechanicals. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

    Hi Dennis,
Presumably you mean the light blue, ex US, 365 that has been in Berlin for at least a dozen years?
    I'll send you a PM.

    Good day Dennis,

Are you certain that your chassis number is 15677? I ask, as according to the Raab serial number book, chassis 15677 reflects a 365 GTB/4 (Daytona) and not a 365 Gt4 2+2. It is possible that the Raab book could be in error, but searching 15677 on Fchat reveals it also to be a Daytona by none other than Mr. Marcel Massini:

    Good day Dennis,

    You are most welcome!

It will be interesting to see what you find. I say this, as your chassis number is far too low for it to be a 365 Gt4 2+2. I say this, as one of the very first (e.g. prototypes) 365 Gt4 2+2 has a chassis number of 16293 from 1972... and so it raises the question how your chassis number can be 15677 which is a lower chassis number than this prototype?

Here is the info on the 16293:

    Hi Sam.
That makes sense. I retrieved the number from a grainy dark photo of the steering wheel column. Will check with the original and the corresponding numbers as well and will let you know.

    Cheers!

    Good day Dennis,

Gotcha... Well... 18677 according to Raab corresponds the start of the GTB production run... so this does not check out. I tried to enhance your photo with some contrast and I can almost make make out 1867, but the last digit.. could be a 3 (?). Assuming that the chassis is 1867x... and looking in Raab's book I see two possibilies... 18673 and 18675. Raab's book states that:
    - both were first registered in Italy with both having Pininfarina as the coachbuilder
    - 18673 production date of 1/8/75 with assembly number of 422 and body number 452
    - 18675 production date of 10/9/75 with assembly number of 429 and body number 467

    Cheers,

    Sam

Now that I'm preparing to sell it, do any of you guys who have access to these various databases have info on 50605? 1984 400iA. I bought it from Ferrari of Central Florida in 2002. I checked with Cathy at FML and they had very little info on it.

    Thank,
    Al

    Al,
It was advertised by The Chequered Flag (Los Angeles) in May/June 1989:
16 May 1989: Blue/tan, 12k miles, Calif pink and releases, CHEQUERED FLAG 213/657-7030; and
June 1989: The Chequered Flag, Los Angeles (CA), 1984, dark blue metallic, tan, 25k, auto, dual air, perfect, one owner
(presume the mileage discrepancy is because of kms in the second ad.)
In Lebanon, New Jersey 1996-1998; Vero Beach Florida in 1999.
    Mileage 29,340 recorded 21 Dec 1999.
    Regards David

David, Thank you very much for the info. It's all very interesting. The colors are right. The last mileage recorded is interesting. I need to dig thru my records but I remember it having fewer miles on it when I bought it from Ferrari of Central Florida in 2002! Around 24-25K.

    Thanks again, Al

Here is a pic of the newspaper ad from May 1989 from Chequered Flag. I also left a couple of other serial numbers in there too, 45535 and 555025. Chequered Flag had various ads in May 1989, all slightly different formats but none had different information than this one.
