Thanks, Dave, but looking for Kluber DEgreaser. Something that will emulsify (?) the grease. To remove it.
We came up with a list of what doesn't work, but Bruce wanted to see if anyone had experience with this. So far the only answer is a lot of paper towels.
Goof Off Heavy Duty Remover and a lot of paper towels. Don't soak the plastic & rubber bits, soak the paper towels and wipe them off. The rest of the flywheel is fine to soak in it. If you dissolve a plastic bit, open FBB's Jack Daniels and use appropriately.
Have you tried Brakleen spray? It's a pretty powerful degreaser, just be sure to use in a "well ventilated area".
One of its qualities is to withstand the extreme heat from the clutch, with an exhaust at its rear. Unless its lost that and gone semi liquid I doubt it. I know comment has been all anyone says is paper towels, but unless you have an industrial degreaser paper towel is the easiest to get majority off. its not that big a deal. Once thats done a quick wipe over with any ordinary degreaser will bring it up sparkling clean. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
