Took out my seats a few weeks ago and now they're going back. But I'm not sure where these parts came from, I assume somewhere on the rails. Only a pair so one per chair I presume or do they both go only on one side?

Thanks for the help. I've got to learn to document better when I take things apart!

Also, which side of each seat do they go on, outer or inner, and front or rear of chair

My old Lancia had parts like that to limit the seat travel on the rails. I can't remember if both were on one rail to limit fore / aft travel, or both on the rear to control push back distance etc.

One goes on each side, under the rear mounting bolts, to limit seat travel, rearward.

    I don't recall, but I don't think it matters.

Front mounting bolts (not the rears), mine are on the inside -but actually I don't think it matters.

Without them you could slide the seat forward and right off the runner. Seat travel rearward is limited by the raised part of the floor behind the seats - so not an issue.

Thanks that's what I thought from a picture I found posted here. Now I've just got to fix the two stripped bolts, hopefully it's only the bolts themselves, not the mounting spots.

If its the mountings you are going to need to drill out the rivets to remove the fibreglass floor under the car - could be messy :(

An alternative approach would be to see if you can clean them up with a tap & if not then drill them, & re tap them to take a larger diameter bolt I suppose.
