Lol, can see the arguments in the evenings about the blooming kids and their powerboats tearing up the neighbourhood.
Its called "The World" its in Dubai. When the project is done its going to resemble a map of the world. Pretty cool. www.theworld.ae
It should be a really good investment and maybe a good place to retire. Any of you got any ideas on how much an island would cost?
Some pricing info and other interesting information. http://www.whisprwave.com/2005/07/thirty-three-islands-resort-in.html I'd be VERY concerned about sitting so close to sea-level. Then again, what price can you put on living in "Texas" without the illegal aliens. ;-) For long term investment/retirement use I'd feel MUCH safer putting my dollars in a nice little place on Jost Van Dyke.
True. I'd rather invest in a safer place. I have also though about the tsunami so that kinda bothers me. PS. We need immigrants in our country. If they pass the amnesty, were going to have millions of potential home buyers who can legally show their income and apply for a loan. More demand means higher prices!
I can already see it now, I wake up one morning, find a boat shored up on the sand, prop sheared off and the neighbors kids passed out on my beach.
Are you kidding? Wait until the first wave comes along. I wouldn't live there if it was the last piece of earth left on... the earth.
