Now all of this is my opionion, I dont want any wars to start out of this.

Of course I dont know everything going on at Ferrari, only a handful of people do, however all these new designs coming out seem to all look.... the same. I think Ferrari maybe running out of ideas. For example...the 430. Great car, havent heard anything negative about it, but anyone else notice its just a combination of previous F-cars? TR rearview mirrors, Enzo backlight, overall 360 "look" with just a couple of extra vents added.I know that every new car is started with styling from its predecessor and make adjustments from there, but look at the transformation of 355 to 360, a great design...transformed into a different and also great design. I know that isnt all and I cant stress enough in this thread that I dont intend to act like I know every little thing about every little thing at Ferrari.

I think Ferrari may have lost some serious magic over at the design HQ and I think the Enzo/ 360/ 575/ 612 may be the last lineup Ferrari offers that are all unique and all look differnt and all are just great.

The new lineup starting with F430, soon to be followed with the "600 Imola" and "new Dino" and some differnt stuff all seem to be lacking some style. They are good looking, but not like the 575, 360, etc. The "600 Imola" seems to be just a redone & wider 612, the "new Dino" seems to be a combination of various cars ( I see Corvette, TVR & Lotus just bursting out from those lines). Luckily, its VERY early to tell the overall finished product of these 2 new Ferraris, it may be completley different and an instant classic, but for now I dont see them, or Ferrari, going in some new revolutionary direction.

There is so much more I need to say, but it never really fit into this message, but please give your opionion **And respect everyone elses opionion**. Like I said, please no wars in here.

You're disappointed because of photos of a heavily camouflaged 600 Imola TEST MULE and some "Dino" drawings by R&T artists? Have a little faith and patience.

I agree about the 430. Looks like a 360 with extras to me.

    328 was a revision of 308.
348 was a completely new model.
    355 was a revision of 348.
360 was a completely new model.
    430 is a revision of 360.

    There's a pattern here.
You shoulnd't have expected a completely new model after the 360.

Although I'm not a big fan of the new designs Ferrari is coming out with, I'm actually pleased that they are starting to produce all their cars in larger volumes. This will help make the cars more affordable in the aftermarket.

The unfortunate side effect of larger volumes will be the potential for brand dilution, but higher volumes will probably be a necessary component for future viability of the company. For those individuals that require exclusivity, there is a nice selection of vintage Ferraris to choose from.

Sounds like every car out there.

Too many around is a fact of life now. They're making money and we keep buying them. I don't mind it, more people get to enjoy them. I'm interested in the classics and not the newer ones, so I really don't see to many cars just like mine when I go for a ride. Actually, I've never seen another 365 GT4 at an FCA event that I've attended in the last 8 years.

BTW, I'm paid for your F1 ticket today. :D

xs10shl.....I think the very point you raise i.e. to make more volume and hence more affordable is the very situation that will make them seem a 'lot' less desirable, it certainly would for me and I'm sure many others. Look what the 'ten a penny' Boxster has done to the previous enjoyed exclusivity of the Porsche brand

Everytime a new gen Fcars is introduced, whiners complain and extoll the virtues of the previous generation over the new one.
In the meantime Ferrari becomes more and more desirable(and profitable, since they are a Business Company not a charity to make some "enthusiasts" happy)

I'm worried that Ferrari will over-exploit it's branding to the point it becomes passe and uncool, just like Adidas and Lacoste in the early 80's.

Ferrari's progression is well planned. Its not supposed to be another Lamborghini, it is supposed to be a Ferrari, which has its own persona, its own independent design. Fortunetely, Ferrari is does have its future planned as it should

This thread has to be have posted by someone that does not understand the thinking of Ferrari.

The F430 is exactly the Ferrari that should have been introduced at this time.

They're headed down the same dubious path that BMW is on... you can never have too much automation.

It'll be interesting to see what fantastic gizmos they'll foist on their minions in the next few years.

After having both companies doing the same thing in the 80's and 90's ...

Lamborghini stayed in the exotic car business.

Ferrari seems bent on leaving the exotic market and growing into the Classy Rich Man's Sporting Car.

    Ferrari's future :

    eventually a four door car
    then
eventually an SUV with an auto trans

eventually porsche's will all be faster
    lambo's are already faster

in F1, back of the pack from here going forward

eventually a company like SAAB or Volvo will own them

Well it probably will cheer you up that the successive model would be nothing like 430, nothing against 430 as i personally love it.
There have always been an improved model with upgrades following the out going model before a totally new design. 308 & 328, 348 & 355, 360 & 430.
