Pulled off my intake manifold and it is too short to go back. I'm not even sure how long it has been off. I saw it when I was swapping plugs and extenders yesterday. Need to get a new one but what size is it and where does it feed to? Does it go to my ignition control box or does to attach to some emission equipment?

So I can just cap both ends off and not worry about it?

Why not just reconnect it? (Capping off the fitting and the hose will do nothing for performance, and will only increase the fuel vapor emissions into the atmosphere as the charcoal bed will just remain saturated with fuel.)

That's fine with me but the hose won't reach the manifold. What you see in the pic is as far as it will go. Can you tell me the size of the hose and I'll order a new piece.

Just measure the diameter of the nipple then subtract a little for the ID of the hose. I have a cheap $2 HF caliper in my "take along" toolbox for just this type of "not to the .001" type of measurement". For the same type of braided hose European car parts places usually have it available by the foot. I just replaced all the braided hoses on my Audi ur-Quattro, I got them from Partsklassik, a Porsche restoration supplies company. They have the higher quality stuff.
