I'm looking to buy an F40. early non cat, non adjust etc.

Which independant dealer provides the best technical back up?

    i.e engine/gearbox rebuilds.

    I'm budgeting between £160-170k.

    Regards,

    J.P

You could give Karl Verdi (aka Verdi Ferrari) a call to ask for advice - he owns one.

Wow, that one is quite expensive on Lovetts site

Joe Macari www.joemacari.com has one for 175,000 at the moment. Russell there head mechanic can give you top advice!

    Right then.....

I had a serious lok at the Macari car last Saturday. It is pretty damn good, with all of the bodywork date stamps matching and everything. I spent a good hour looking round it with Joe and their Salesman, and I nearly would have gone for it, but my money is a little tied up in agricultural land at the moment, so I am waiting for next year before I decide what to do. (except for the Lotus Exige I have just bought to entertain myself till then!) Seriously, it is wort a look, most F40s are fairly rough round the edges, this one seems to have been well looked after. I hope it is still around in May/June....Then we will see!

I have also looked at the F40 in Joe Macari - used to be a Rothchild car.

Not sure its right though, an F40 in London. Looked to me to be a very good car and a decent price.

    Go for it !

Out of curiosity, what were your previous Ferrari's...
Or is an F40 going to be your first?
There are lots of F40's for sale throughout the country, IF you are looking for the absolute best example money can buy, then PM me and I will show an example which fits the bill. I warn you though, IT IS NOT CHEAP!
