Where is the general consensus to sell your car. Would you get better results advertising here or someplace like Hemmings or craiglist or ebay and maybe your local newspaper. Would it be better to go to a broker who would sell it for a flat fee or a commission. Then again would all of the above be the best approach.

For $15, I would start here.

I think I had a couple thousand views on my 328 in the few weeks it was listed. Ultimately it sold to someone who knew the car anyway, so maybe not a fair test.

I've bought/sold four cars including the 308 on Ebay. Alot of people have horror stories about ebay, but for the most part it's not the overall disaster most people say. About 4 listings each for a ZO6 corvette and the 308.

Yes, you get a lot of questions and BS, but I luckily had no dead beat bidders. The key is clear and consise info (payment, test drives, viewing etc), strict deposit policy and your own judement to weed out the potential trouble makers.

F-Chat is the best place for maximum exposure but getting the car out to events where the enthusiasts are may be the most effective. I had put my search on hold until I saw my new car. Once I laid eyes on it I immediately reconsidered.

I sold a 308 and a Mondial QV here on FerrariAds. Both were drivers, not show cars and sold pretty quickly. Hemmings might be a good alternative, and Ferrari Market letter. I just sold my Jaguar Vanden Plas through Craigslist, but that's a crap shoot, IMHO. Fleabay???? A lot depends on the condition of your car and whether you expect it to be a high-end seller or a run of the mill driver. For a driver, with flaws, Ebay might work for you, but do consider a reserve if you have a minimum in mind.

I searched for information on FChat about GT4's.
I found a bunch for sale, and visited them.
Ultimately, I found my car here, on FChat, after forging a relationship with a member who was helping me find a car: I bought his car.

I never looked anywhere else for a car.
IDK if that was cause I was fully immersed in FChat, gathering information in preparation of finding a car...
I think it's safe to assume you will get the most bang-for-your-buck here since most members are 'known Ferrari owners' in their own circles and will most likely do some advertising for you.

Sold my 355 on Fchat after trying two other places. Bought my 308QV on Fchat. I think if you are want to advertise to the right audience, this is a pretty darn good site.

From a sales perspective there is no "right" or "wrong" place to sell a vehicle. If you're serious about it, put it up on here, on Craiglist, on Ebay, on Autotrader, Hemmings, Dupont, the local newspaper, and everywhere you possibly could list the car. Nothing bad will happen from more people seeing the ad.
