I did about 500 miles in the Pzeros before changing to the 812 OEM PS4S tyres and did about 1,000 miles in them over the summer. Night and day - completely changed the handling of the F12 and made it much more chuckable and controllable at the same time. Even in the wet I could put my foot down (gently), whereas that was uncomfortable in the dry with the Pzeros. The PS4S will allow you to get the best from the F12.

What I can confirm is that when I switched from the 2017 Pirellis Pzero to the 2018 Michelins PS the difference was very notorious. You didn't have to be an expert to tell that the tyres are different because the MPS have more grip on wet and dry conditions and their vibration and noise is less at very high speed. Unless Pirelli made an improvement miracle from the previous Pzeros to the newer Zeros 4, the MPS 4 tyres should continue being a better option for the F12.

Thanks. I was in love with that color and would’ve loved to have my 812SF in that color or Grigio Scuro which is a slightly darker Grigio Medio. But then I fell in love with Canna di Fucile, which is less sporty but makes the car look very elegant IMHO.

Sorry to dig this post out but I liked it so much! :)

I drove approx 100km last weekend and can absolutely relate to what you wrote! Firstly, the degree of improvement in every degree over the F12 is shocking. Would not have thought that when I upgraded and even more was the reason that I stuck to my F12 for so long.

Secondly, the sound is out of this world and almost unbelievable that it is legal. While the F12 needed a valve to manually control the loudness I will leave everything as it is with the 812 as it is much louder, especially in low revs. ;)

In short, I’m very happy about the upgrade! :D

i wonder if they removed some of the sound dampening inside the 812, in part to save weight and in part to appease customers who complain the F12 was too quiet inside?

There was an 812 with us at the track last week and it really did sound incredible going by. I am assuming it was a non GPF but not sure.

I would love to hear the difference between GPF and non GPF. Not so sure that there is a big difference...

I dont know if there is but the one at the track sounded incredible. Also, I took a GTS out last week and it also sounded great, especially with the top down.

There is a difference, but a GPF 812 with a burned in exhaust still sounds very good.

Congrats! I’m sure you’ll have lots of fun. The car looks quite “low”, has the suspension been modified?
