Hello, Digging into the wiring hijinks of previous owners in my 89 Mondial t Coupe...need to locate connector 41021 (17 cavity) - "Dashboard connection, rear connector (C)." See attached diagram. I thought it might be behind the rear seats?? The wire bundle goes from the console to the right fender, but the wire bundle from the rear boot runs along the left side. Any directions would be appreciated. Image Unavailable, Please Login
...and solved the first of many electrical problems. It's behind the metal plate in the front of the passenger footwell - gray with three phillips screws. The back of the plate has several electrical devices mounted - I believe one is the electronic suspension computer. The connector was slightly loose - causing the black red wire not to ground when the rear bonnet switch is pushed and not energizing the relay to the solenoid. The PO had cut the wires to the switch and attempted to run a positive feed through the switch.
Other high load wires are in this footwell and should be checked regularly or identified and bypassed the connector which should be checked for discoloration due to over heating.
This is the pic in the footwell. The two mounted devices are the suspension computer (right/black) and the HVAC temp controller (left/silver). The suspension computer was disconnected. Image Unavailable, Please Login
