I have an 89 Lotus Esprit SE that needs service and repair. Can anyone recomend a highly experienced place for me too bring it. Was even considering Dallas Lamb or Dallas Ferrari, or maybe Houston. My pockets are not deep so I would prefer not to get bent over either. Maybe south La.?

    Greg,

Tony did all of the service on Paul's Esprit & Elise. He also worked on David's Lotus. Both of them had nothing but good things to say...and you know how I feel about him.

I truly think he is your best bet. Unfortunately, with these high strung foreign cars, they are never cheap to maintain or repair (you know that already).

Give T a call, and see what he says. You can either go with a known and well respected local independent, or go with an unknown (to you) non-local independent, OR the dealership where a raping is sure to take place.

If you want, I can put you in touch with Paul and he can give you some feedback & leads.

    Good luck bro.

I've tried to make an appointment with Tony for 3 wks. Even calling TJ to get the app.
Tony must not need my money.

Tony is the best around, and he is a one man show...as a result, sometimes (no matter who you are or who you know) you just have to take a number and wait in line. (I have been dealing with him since he opened his doors and became an independent) I am still waiting to get a service appointment for my 930, but when he gets to it, it will be done right. But then again, I don't press him because if the 930 is not on the road I am not walking.

As for not needing someone's money and having a tough time getting a deal done, I have heard that said about several small businessmen in this town.
