    It is a long weekend in the UK and I had planned to take a trip from Friday to monday. Unfrotunatly my plans were somewhat spoilt so I am thinking of taking the car and heading for... well anywhere. Does anyone have any suggetions? Are there any ferrari related activites that are going on or are there any fantastic routes that I really must do ?

    All ideas are very much appreciated.

    If you've got the time, head down to italy through the Swiss mountain passes. You can basically spend a day driving the passes to and fro into Italy.

    If you've only got a a day or two at the most that will be a push, in which case you could try heading down to the Black Forest in southern germany around Freiburg. Some beautiful roads, scenery and restaurants...only problem is its full of germans like Wolfgang ;) And of course you will have to use the autobahn to get there :)

    If you do head down this direction let us know, might be able to meet up.

    Thanks for all the feedback guys but the original plan is back on .... with a little variation !

    Simon: I have heard of these fantastic roads .. I need to go sometime. it was a serious consideration when you mentioned it.

    Reman: i had not heard of Zolder !!! Thanks for pointing it out to me.

    SteveP : the Nordscleife was the first thing i checked but Sat was from 5pm onwards so that left me Friday & most of Sat in limbo. I can't wait to go there again.

    Hope & pray that I will never meet this ***** in the alps!
    Thats way too much! Recless, inconsiderate, unthoughtful, roughshod and most dangerous!
    I realy love to drive hard & fast but I always care about the other cars, drivers and the traffic.

    ...just my 0,02 cents.
