    Hi all,
I know this is a stupid question, but where the heck is the ECU that controls the "slow down" lights on a Mondial QV (non-cabriolet)? I followed the wires from the cats and they vanish at the front of the engine bay.

    Thanks!

Looks like there's 1 for each cat.
On the Mondial8,they are up with the relays, Item #22 on TAV119. Suspect it's in the same place on the QV.

OK, so the 3.2 is in the trunk, the 8 is in the front....and the QV is probably one or the other. As soon as I have a few minutes to get to the garage, I'll check the front.

Zertec, thanks for sending the pdf. I downloaded it on my laptop but it won't open. I'll try downloading on my other machine tonight.

I bought a factory electrical schematic from Ferrari UK but haven't got it yet.

Mine is an 84 UK car, the ECU's, there are two are located on the bulkhead infront of the engine on the left side of the car, from the back, so to be specific, go to that side of the car, infront of the rear wheel infront of the wheel arch liner, mounted on the bukhead . Clear as mud, I know !
I have no idea if the US spec is the same.

    Philip,
Aren't those the ignition modules? They have a vacuum line to them for advance, and control the spark. I don't think they are the same as the Cat ECUs. (Could be wrong!)

I just got the electrical schematic from Zertec so now I can check it out. Thanks Zertec! (I downloaded it on the other machine. Apparently my version of Acrobat reader was too old on the laptop).

OK, I have been through that schematic twice and there appears to be NOTHING in there about the cats or the temp sensors on them! What gives? Bueller?

    Birdman

P.S. At least according to the schematic, the ignition units do not have anything to do with the cat temp sensors.

Zertec....I'm going to guess that you sent me a non-U.S. spec manual and that's why there is nothing in there about cats and temp sensors on them. I thought by the time the QV Mondial rolled around, they all had cats, but maybe not.

I'll just have to wait for the U.S. manual I ordered from Ferrari UK.

    Steve,
Thanks man! If you tell me that you found that pic in the owners manuals, I'm going to cry. (Since that was the first place I looked).
