Hey guys- A good friend (who happens to also be my mechanic) is looking for a well used 355 challenge- preferably not pristine- a car he can get relatively cheaply and work on himself.. I've never had a problem locating a car before but so far, I've come up blank.. Any leads? Where do I start looking? Any help is much appreciated! -Kenny
Kenny. I might have a local one for you. Red. Im not sure if an old work associate of mine still has his or not. PM me if your friend is serious and Ill make a call.
Definitely get one of the cars Martin is selling. I have seen them on the track a few times, and Martin is as honest as anyone I have met regarding the cars he sells. BT
Martin has a handful of GREAT cars, but unfortunately, we're looking for a car that really needs some work (thus, alot less expensive).. Thanks though..
How about a 358? Fresh engine, sorted, needs a little cosmetic work. SCCA 348 with 355 rear body work / wing, etc. NOT your average Challange car. Heavily modified suspension / brakes / Forgeline Racing wheels / EFI injection..... More info if interested, just finished a full day of testing at the track and all it required was fuel. Is this "Well Used" enough for your mate Hope he's as good panel beater as he is a mechanic Image Unavailable, Please Login
Unlike many other cars, it makes no sense to look for a 355 Challenge "fix-er-upper". Prices for these cars are so low that you'd come out on the wrong end to buy a cheaper car because even if the labor's free (you work on it yourself) the parts would still make the car more expensive that buying one in good shape. 355 prices are in the 50-60K range. If for example you bought a well run car you might get it for 45-50 but you'd likely spend at least 15K or more on repairs and that would put you at or above the average price.
