    Hey guys!

I have a 360 Spider - my car was a Euro car that was imported when near new into the USA, where it has been since.

I am wondering if there is any way I can find out where my car was originally delivered, and/or any build documentation for the car?

My VIN (if anyone cares) is ZFFYT53B000122609.

    Thanks so much!

You should be able to get all the build info from https://my.ferrari.com/en-US/. It's kind of a pain to register and you'll need to prove ownership, but you'll get all the options and possibly even pictures of it while being built (sometimes, not always):

This is funny. I was searching for the same type of information and tried to register two days ago. It was a total pain and the site could not accept my registration.

That said, they reached out from Italy and after a few exchanges of info (they were very clearly translating based on spelling and some other stuff) they set me up and just a few hours ago they told me my car was registered in the “My Garage” section. I just went to check it out and all it is is a stock image of a 456M (wrong color) with the date I purchased it. That’s it.
Also a link to Classiche and the new Ferrari configurator.

Thanks, man! Yeah, I started that process a few months ago - got confirmation they had all the info about a month ago, and haven’t heard anything since, and still can’t register ‍♂️‍♂️ #ferrari haha!!

Sounds like the best play is to just wait…!

it's not the greatest site and definitely a pain to register. It has the full build options and correct rendering
for my 2014 458 Spider, but not the actual build pictures. Other people have found three build pictures. Mine also shows the dates and mileage for services and recalls.

I think your Ferrari sales people can pull the build info, plus there are a few people on the forum who often reply that they can do it for you.

    No kidding ?!

It appears that there is more content for newer cars, which I get. Prior to 1998 there was not a lot of optional equipment, If any…or any sort of customization program at all outside Prince Jefri, etc…

Very cool, what would prior to 1998 build info include ?

Congrats. Great car. I had a 2001 360 spider euro which I loved. Sad to see it go.

The data used to be in there but has not been in there for a while for my cars
    .

It used to saw where and when it was delivered and other information. It was removed two years ago

Also when you terminate ownership the pictures go away.

In prior versions all the pictures were there for cars about 2012 on.

The other place you may try - call the company that federalized it. They may have data as well.

Lastly doesn’t the vin have a country or configuration letter? At least for some countries like Japan.

    Good luck.

Looks like you have a Euro VIN. Are you bassman3006 on Vinwiki?

Yep - bassman3006 on Vinwiki, and yep - a Euro car. I have a fair amount of history on the car since it got to the USA (when basically new), but was more just curious about where it was initially sold before heading state-side. I'll be honest, though - I don't TOTALLY understand how the process of 'privately importing' these cars worked when new - whether they were sold via a dealer and THEN shipped, or if there was another process they went through - I know quite a lot were imported 'new' due to availability issues with the 360s back in 01.

Thanks! With it being a Euro car, I wasn't able to get much out of them when I tried, but perhaps I'll reach out and try again :)

Great suggestion re the company that federalized it - good call! I'll follow that thread, I think!! Thanks so much!

The VIN def has the market code - mine just is a "B", which indicates "Europe" - I'd love to learn more about the process of it coming to the USA (ie where specifically it was sold, etc) - maybe just a pipe dream to fill-the-gaps of information - I figure the more of the story you know, the better should the time come to sell it... Although - honestly - I have other/faster cars, and I'm really not sure I see 'selling' in in the future - I love it for what it is and would love to just hang onto it.

From what I can see this is the " selling Dealership " : " Dealer 1:100060698SPORTGARAGE LEIRER AG -1- "
Also, the rollover valve campaign shows to still be open and overdue..

And below is a screen shot of the build options per MODIS

Yeah - definitely quite a few - especially the early years.

My understanding is that Euro models can be a problem to register in Cali due to smog etc, but my car spent most of its life in Cali, so I guess they got around that/figured it out somehow! I’m in Illinois, so doesn’t bother me, but good for the “next buyer” if they are in CA! Ha!
