I've made some phone calls and none of the monkeys in the local auto parts stores have even heard of Loctite 518. Where do I get some? Alternatively, everyone seems to have a good assortment of Permatex products -- what is the Permatex equivalent to Loctite 518?

Order it from Summit, its $8 and you'll have it in a few days... they have a warehouse/store in Reno.

Well, I learned something new today -- I now know what "Anaerobic Gasket Maker" is. I'll be using this stuff to seal my transfer case cover after this weekend's clutch replacement. I could get the equivalent Permatex sealant, but I still have a few days so I may as well place an order. All the threads I've read mention Loctite 518. Who am I to argue with F-chatters who know more than I do?
