I'm not looking for anything fancy.... I just want a decent flask that won't make my booze taste funny. Somebody gave me a stainless steel one that gave Jack Daniels a funny taste so I don't wanna use it anymore. I kinda like stainless as it's presumably durable.... but what do I know about flasks?

Some Stainless ones have a plastic coating in the interior like a Coke can. I have one that does not have it and have not noticed a difference in the Scotch.

In name only and for a small %. Jim used to play big shot by blowing in on any given Friday to load up his limo with the weekend profits to pass out....

They've been out for over a decade.

    Didn't know that.

Anyway, I used to buy my smokes from Larry @ The Cigar Warehouse in Sherman Oaks but, for a place to hang out and smoke, I would usually go to Cigars by Chivas in Pasadena: http://cigarsbychivas.info/press/storypage1.html

Never owned a flask, though, so I can't comment on them!

Get a Nalgene water bottle at a back packing store. Zero taste.

But zero subtlety. No way to finish a dramatic statement with a swig off a nalgene and still look like a BAMF, either.

Used to hang out there myself with my buddy Arbi! Nowadays though, you can find me next door at Green Street Tavern.

You know, I was impressed with this place the first time I ate there, especially considering how reasonable the prices were. Went back recently, though, and it just wasn't as good as I had remembered. It could also benefit from a type 47 liquor license that would allow them to serve real cocktails instead of martinis made with soju.

Oh, and so we're not hijacking the thread, how about a discreet flask that looks like a cellphone?
