Where to get an appraisal??? Stuff you should know..

Follow up on prior thread...

State farm has agreed to cover the testarossa for AGREED VALUE. After sending them tons of data, listings, ebay, auctions etc, they state that the MOST a testarossa is worth is $91,000. Period.

Any more than that requires a full appraisal.

I would appreciates folks input on how/where they are getting apraisals. I live within an hour of Chicago. Plan to call LFSC and see if they do this...

Who else can be used??? Can any auto dealer do it? Can folks online do it?

There isn't one testarossa listed for sale on the web for $91,000... I looked...

As an aside, my porsche 914 is only worth $13,000 according to haggerty, but state farm had no issues insuring for $15,000.

The 1988 930 they max out at $70,000 per their value charts (1/2 of what its worth)...

So, where has everyone gotten their appraisals from?

There are people that advertise that service. Might look in Prancing Horse or Forza Magazines . LFSC is not a bad option if they will do it but it is sometimes better to have someone recognized by insurance companies for that service. In your part of the country I would call Motion Products and ask them if they do it or have a source in that part of the country.

 

Thanks Brian, will call. I think Wayne Obry owned/ran the place? They are located quite far away, not practical to drive up there. But perhaps they know someone closer to SE Wiscosnin.
