Go see FMoQ.........unless you are buying the car there.........then I wouldn't bother with the PPI.

why not? the car is being bought there, but shouldn't a PPI be done regardless of where you buy it?

Go to Auto Bugatti on Cote de Liesse (514-636-2080)
They have experience with Ferraris. You will probably see about a dozen Ferraris in there getting serviced right now.

It's a conflict of interest when you get your PPI handled at the place of purchase. Kind of like when a wife asks if she looks fat in this dress.

    ara.....

I have bought numerous cars from FMoQ "sight unseen"...........and I have "never" had one misrepresented to me in any way, shape, or form.

Robert LeBeau (the sales manager there) is a straight up guy. This is why I answered like I did.

Hope that helps.....and I am sure that your uncle will enjoy his new toy !!

I've heard he was fired for a reason. Apparently there are pending lawsuits due to undisclosed information related to cars bought from FoQ. I'd find someone (Auto Bugatti) to do the PPI!

Well......see what happens when you don't talk to someone for a couple of weeks !! I do stand by my statement though....I never got lied to once.

In that case though I don't know who you might be dealing with now, so proceed accordingly I guess.

anyway the car only has 4 650 km on it, and it's only 3000 for a cam belt change anyway so it's not a big deal, i'm just waiting for april 1st so i can drive the car, can't wait,

Still always good to do your due diligence. Cam belts are probably no a big deal as you say. I have seen cars written off and salvaged with less than 4000km's. That's more what I am talking about.

I am sure you will be ok. Always good to do your homework though.

Fired? Fired for a reason? True he is no longer there but I would certainly hesitate to comment on internal situations that I know nothing about. Who can really claim to offer up details that are closely held between an owner and an employee?

How about, Mr. Robert Lebeau is no longer offering his services to Ferrari of Quebec? That has a touch more class to it.

Regarding the question for the thread, why don't you contact Robert Lebeau and ask him about the car? I think he might know something about it and perhaps he would even answer some questions.

^^^ Exactly. You have to be careful what you say, or think you know. There are always two sides (at least) to every story and you never know which (parts) to believe.

However, Robert is no longer there. To ask him a question, you'd have to be able to contact him another way.

With that kind of mileage, the car should be fine. BUT, it is always better to be safe than sorry...

Oh sorry, if he is a lawyer he must just speak the truth and avoid any self-interested slants on his opinions. My apologies.

Between FoQ and Auto Bugatti, who would be more knowledgeable on older 60's V12 Ferraris for a PPI? I am considering a 365GT2+2 in Montreal. Thanks!

I would have to say that both dealers have the experienced mechanics for 60's Ferraris. Would probably be more of a question of $. Auto Bugatti is currently restoring a Daytona Spyder.
