Has anyone ever purchased NEW, the complete release cable for the engine hatch? (boot) Mine snapped at the release handle, and I will need one the correct length, and with the eyelet to attach to handle. I would rather not just buy some cable & make it myself. Are they available at dealers, and/or online? thanks! Keith
It is simple. I just bought the cable from a motorcycle shop (pre stretched brake cable). .085" dia and a couple of copper end fittings. Cable was 26 cents per foot so I bought 10 feet. You need about 115". So far I have $3 ino it and I just made up the loop end. Takes about 20 minutes. I am waiting for Veral's latch holder as mine is broken but whe that comes it takes about a 1/2 hour to get it together.

Should take about 1/2 hr to do the install. I did mine this morning. Don't know what Rutlands is getting for the cable but if you spent more then $10 on it you were taken. Mine cost $3. Good luck
