Was just checking into hotels for a trip next year in May 2023. I reached out to Hotel Maranello Palace and they informed me that they are permanently closing at the end of this month (November 2022). Debating whether I just stay at the Planet for close proximity knowing it won't be tremendously high end.

Do you know why they are PERMANENTLY closing ? I just try to make a reservation and it is effectively impossible after the 30th of November. You could stay at Hotel Maranello, only 12 rooms, but nice, good restaurant and 100 m away from factory ( old entrance ) and as somebody wrote, be careful of the trees...

I stayed at Hotel Maranello four years ago for the Dino 50th. anniversary celebration and I would second the recommendation. No frills, but good, clean accommodation and very reasonably priced. Excellent restaurant for dinner, but breakfast is v. limited. I would also second the comment about the trees - I laboriously washed off all the road dirt acquired on the drive from the UK to Maranello the night before the big day so my Dino would look its best when I turned up at the factory, but when I got up in the morning, it was covered in guano!!:(

Do not park under the trees!!!

Mine is the blue one in the background. The Nocciola GTS had gone in the morning - probably to the car-wash!!

I enjoyed an excellent bottle of wine with my dinner. A bit pricey at Euros 75, but worth every penny:)

View from my room - there's no escaping Ferrari in Maranello!!
