Hi All, Since Speed Channel is choosing NecKCar over F-1 tomorrow morning.... Does anyone know of an address for a web cast or other means of viewing the race? TIA, Jati
It's not that Speed can't be bothered to show the race, Bernie thought it would be fun to let an 18 year old produce 4 of them this season for CBS. Thank **** this is the last one they're doing, the last three races covered by them have been ****ing dire. Derek Daly is incompetent and they don't bother covering anything post race. CBS consider it so important my local affiliate didn't even show the San Marino race.
Your Lucky! My CBS station showed the race until it got interesting and then they interrupted to tell us about the POSSIBLE WEATHER I complained and got this reply: Couldn't agree more with you. I back my weather guys 200%, but we dropped the ball on this one. I appreciate your email, and promise to do everything in my power to see mistakes like this don't happen again. Mike Turner Operations WIBW-TV This was in a responce to an excerpt: What do NCIS, Survivor, CSI have in common CBS, No longer. I have to watch CBS's coverage of Formula 1 and you break in with a weather update on the last lap. Was anybody in danger, NO! I will never watch WIBW again! You have lost a VIEWER. After I got the positive email from Mike Turner I am giving them a 2nd chance. My race they blew was CANADA. Stephen
go to www.formula1.com for live race coverage you can watch it live and not have to listen to the yahoos on CBS - unfortunately I think Speed won't be carrying it until 29 July. Carol
Agreed the CBS commentators are awful. They can't tell which driver the camera is on half the time unless the name appears at the bottom, and they always make mistakes. First one I noticed today was how one of them said second place gives 6 points. the speedtv crew are awesome.
Yeah they were/are pretty bad. Me and my buddy SWEAR we heard "....spray the shampoo!" before the champagne started flowing. And I loved the main CBS commentator's "He could be the King of Spain right now if he wanted to" comment when speaking of Alonso's win.
CBS is recapping the Tour De France and it live on OLN this morning. Speed hire OLN's negotiators. OLN is replaying the Tour multiple times today. Speed is owned by Fox. Who owns OLN? stephen
I believe it's Outdoor Life Network in Stamford, CT. I watched the TDF three times in one day last week, it's been live early in the am then repeats later. I wonder if they'll do as much replaying of the event next year with Lance finally gone from it? Have to give them credit as they are the only ones who have coverage (besides the computer) of the Giro de Italia - that's a more gureling race I think than the TDF. OLN has some pretty interesting shows but then there's the usual waste of air time stuff. Carol
