Everyone - Wonder where I've been for the last few weeks??? Read on.... I'm dizzy with excitement! After several hundred hours of work, lots of counting inventory, building racks, playing with mysterious Ferrari parts, and the unbelievable support of Mrs. Jack Russell Racing, I'm pleased to announce that www.RicambiAmerica.com is now live! From our ad: "Ricambi Americayour destination for the largest catalogue of Ferrari parts on the internet. At Ricambi America, Ferraris are our passionwe understand how important it is for you to find have the right part for your beloved car. We specialize in "ricambi originali" (Ferrari OEM products). As an authorized reseller of Hyper-Flow and Hill Engineering, we are uniquely qualified to give you the personal attention that your Ferrari craves. Using our online reference catalogue, you are sure to easily locate precisely what you want, from spark plugs to shift gate locks to prepackaged 30K service kits. Let Ricambi America be your destination for attentive service and support whether you race, show, or just drive like Enzo intended!" Although I began this project with the shell of Sodacom's inventory and website, you'll quickly find this is an entirely new business: * I think our website now boasts the world's largest online Ferrari parts catalog with nearly 70,000 searchable items. * If you know what you're looking for, just punch a part number directly into the quick-search. If you only know the item by its description, pop that into the search window. If all else fails and you need some help, give me a shout or use the "contact us" link in the lower left corner. I respond to email MUCH faster than phone calls. The telco on our website will roam to my cellular number, but who knows when Cingular will decide to drop a tower.... * Customer service is my #1 priority. If I've got the item you need in stock, it'll be shipped within 24 hours via FedEx. If I don't have it, I won't process your charge card until I confirm the item is literally "out the door" to you. * Do I have all 70,000 items in stock? Of course not! Do I have an incredible supplier network available to source just about everything? Yes ! * Also note that I'm give huge "props" to my friends at Hyper-Flow and Hill Engineering. Since the dollar is so weak, and shipping is so expensive, I'm trying to buy things in bulk so we'll all save a few dollars and you'll likely get your stuff sooner. If there's something you need, let me know. Need new cats? Just wait until Hyper-Flow gets some of their new dyno results posted... you'll be just giddy with excitement! Wow... there's so much to get organized for such a venture. I'm human, and I'm sure I'll make some mistakes along the way. Kindly let me know, and I'll do everything possible to make things right. Ryan (RYALEX) did the logo design. Keepin' it in the family is the Fchat way. Huge thanks go to him for a great design and terrific patience with my graphical stupidity! We will be having a contest in the next few days to identify the meaning of the Ricambi America logo. I think the prize will be a Hill Engineering shift gate lock or something of a similar "cool factor" Rob and I are working on the sponsorship, and hopefully you'll see the Ricambi America logo on Fchat within the next day or two. Look for me at local FCA events around the southeast too ! With Kind Regards, Daniel Pass aka Jack Russell Racing www.ricambiamerica.com
Let me be the first to report that Daniel has already exhibited exemplary customer support & service--even before getting the virtual doors of Ricambi America opened! Several months ago I ordered a wheel hanger/alignment tool from Sodacoms, was promptly charged for it, but never received the product. And, as noted in other threads, Sodacoms became non-communicative. Not a big item--around $25 including shipping--but quite annoying nonetheless. When Daniel began this thread & announced his intent to buy the assets of Sodacoms, I PMed him about my undelivered item. He promptly replied that he would make good on the item as soon as he took possession of the inventory. And, he followed through by sending me the item last week, even though he has clearly been "under the gun" in terms of getting his new business off the ground. Just in case it isn't clear, Daniel only purchased the assets of Sodacoms, and was in no way legally, morally, or ethically responsible to provide this part to me--he just did it because he thought it was right, and he did it free of charge (including priority shipping). Clearly, I am very impressed by this, and think it bodes well for Daniel's future customers, as well as the success of his venture. Enough already; I'm anxious to do business with Ricambi America, so I'm off to check out the new Web site! (Note: I originally posted this in Rossa Subscribed Forum, before seeing this thread in General Forums. Apologies for the double posting, but I felt the general readership should see these kudos.)
That's getting off on the right foot. So what happened to the Sodacom's guy, he just quit one day????
For now, I'm going to let Tubi work through their exisiting channels. Yeah, I'd love to rep their systems, but let's just make sure that I can deliver on my promises of customer service before I too aggresively seek world domination ;-) Best, Daniel
No answer? It might be a thought to give the community an idea of what happened to this guy/sponsor, especially those that got stiffed. I searched and could not find a reason. Some closure so we can move on........
Good luck Dan!!! Sounds like youre off on the right foot, let me know how its going!! Hope to see you next summer, but by then with the new venture, you might have upgraded David
Sorry for all those who experienced some broken links this morning... all is well and we're open for biz! (BTW, I have a new respect for all the e-commerce/web people in our community!!)
Er, Uh, 703.14 for a 308 cam belt tensioner BEARING? Please tell me thats a typo......................................... Sorry to complain but sheesh.................... Further investigation shows the number is good for a 348 but is still almost double from other sources. Daniel, I am sure you are busting your ass to get this off the ground and I am looking forward to doing business with you if at all possible. Best of luck, DJ
Yup, you're right! That is a 348/Mondial t bearing (OEM) that was in the wrong category. For what it's worth, the Hill Bearing sets are much more reasonably priced, and frankly "uprated" in terms of performance. I'm having a heck of a time getting everything into the proper categories -- it's just going to take some careful scrutiny of each item. (105206 is the proper 308 bearing I believe. I simply had the 348 part number cross listed in there. Check out TEN308 -- an SKF bearing, for $61.18.... like that better?) If you see anything wildly overpriced, let me know!! I'm not a Persian rug dealer, but I certainly want to make everyone happy. Thanks for catching this! Best Regards, Daniel
Searched for some 355 front rear hood / engine struts, but couldn't find 'em. Better get those in inventory! - And congratulations. Website looks good - great start!
I have to tell you this is the first time I have had a business call me to apologize when I didn't even really complain. There were some minor glitches when I tried to checkout with a small purchase and Daniel responded very quickly to my e-mail. He then followed up with a voice mail message to apologize (which he didn't need to do), to thank me, and to let me know when the filter would be shipping. Now that's what I call customer service!! Daniel, sorry I missed your call but thank you. Glad to hear you got the glitches ironed out, hope everything keeps getting smoother as you work into it!!! Just remember us small folks when you achieve that world domination!! John (a new LOYAL customer)
Congrats Daniel! Best of luck with the new venture. Obviously a lot of time, labor and $$ invested. Nice accomplishment, be proud of it. Besides, who'd-a-thunk-it? Ferrari parts in North Carolina...
