Hello Trying to find ace craftsman Mike Dopudja. I remember meeting him when the Daytona Super Coupe Cobra was unveiled after restoration, but I know he's done some significant Ferraris. Anybody know the name of his shop and e-mail? Thanks.
Mike sold out his shop to Bruce Lustman a number of years ago and moved to Mesa AZ where he works taking care of some cars for a local guy. The shop never took in any work after that and, last I heard, Lustman sold all or most of his cars. Mike, who is now 70, enjoys his new life still playing with airplane, etc. We are friends and I speak to him regularly and see him during the winter as our winter house is only a few miles from his. He can also still be found on the CO Grand each year which he co founded with Bob Sutherland many years ago. It will be hard to replace craftsmen like Mike. I saw firsthand some of the parts he made and restorations. It was amazing work. Dave
Mike was a good one. Did some great work on my 83 308 when I first got it. Sad day when he closed up shop but thank goodness Dave Helms opened up Scuderia Rampante. Dave is another great talent on these cars.
