I'm right here. The funds are still with me, but the funding and fun part of it have been put on hold for a while. No big deal or legal issues if you think that. Definately not. Just so busy with everything else for the last few years.

BTW, I grew up just outside of Sugarland. =)

one was 100 - from a friend of mine during the dot-com boom days. last time I saw him was a cookout a few months ago. he's working on another dot-com idea. he's had several companies, and just waiting on the ideas to cash in.

the other would be 50 - random guy in new york or thereabouts.

sugarland has grown too large for me. glad I got out, but also glad I saw it in it's youth.

I moved away in 96 with my parents because of my dad's transfer out here. I used to live in the First Colony neighborhood. I have only been back a few times, and not recently either, but my Dad is constantly back in Texas on business and he says the same things each time --the city has grown a lot, and the new owners of our hold house have trashed it :)

Jordan, quite amazing. I actually opened up the jr. high out in FC, my brother opened up Clements. I opened up a few other schools as well in Ft. Bend... only by attending them when they first opened. Small world indeed.

Jordan, what High School did you attend? I attended Kempner High myself off of Hwy 6 and Voss. Very good school but Clements is way better; they're a "smart" school.

Schatten, very true in regards that Sugar Land has grown large. Although I seem to like it, I dont like the fact that crime has started to climb. A while back ago one of my school mates got killed in the Covington woods neighborhood by a Driveby shooter. There has been some drive way robberies lately as well, some which took place in my neighborhood just a few houses down the street. But aside from that, I enjoy living in Sugar Land.

I actually opened up Kempner as a freshman and went there the first four years it was opened. By my jr. year, we had three portables outside. Not sure when you graduated, but back in my time, it was 'suicide high'. I hear it doesn't go by that anymore. Various other deaths occurred from bad drug deals to car accidents. I think there were 7-9 a year, or something like that.

Funny you mention "suicide high" because just 2 houses down supposedly a student from Kempner commited suicide there. Well that was according to alot of old graduates from Kempner from my street but who knows. I graduated in 2000 and at that time many people called it 'whore high' because there were many girls pregnant. It's not that bad now...Like I said, it's a pretty good high in respect to academics. It's pretty hard to graduate in the 10% and even harder if you go to Clements.
