    I did indeed contemplate buying 1689; the owner at the time had the car in Dallas. The garage it lived in had been broken into and the nose damaged when the trespassers inartfully pried off the Ferrari badge. The owner told me the motor was out of the car and in pieces at Norwood. I called Norwood and asked about the state of the engine. The reply was "oh, the one with the cracked crank??" That pretty much ended my inquiry, so I never got around to numbers . . . .
