I have heard many say that the OEM headers are not that good and crack easily. Who makes the better aftermarket header? Any 355 owners out there who have aftermarket headers on their machines please let me and others know what you think of them perfomance wise and for looks.

I have NA Performance headers and they are great. Seem to be the cheapest available also. There is a thread with before and after dyno graphs showing the increase in hp. Of course, I am also trying to sell my original headers that are in great shape :)

Thanks for the replies. I now have OEM headers with straight pipes and a tubi. Will changing the headers alter the great exhaust notes I am getting now? Will it get louder, deeper or no change?

It seems that the NAPerformance are the most reasonably priced. What ever you do never replace factory headers with another factory piece they never have fixed the problem. Regards, Vern

My car is already loud enough. I wouldnt want it louder or my nieghbors wouldnt anyway. Without the cats and with the tubis its perfect. With new headers how much louder would it get? Im sure they are all a little different. And no I would never replace the factory ones with other factory headers. Its too bad Ferrari couldnt correct the problem with the headers but I guess they are more interested in selling the new cars and servicing the old at our cost. this forum is great for us guys.

I don't know how any header will be louder than another it is what they are connected to that is going to change the sound level ie;mufflers, cats etc.. A header is made up of 4 individual tubes going into one tube(per side), in the case of Ferrari, that are usually stainless a unit made for the same car is not going to effect the noise level vs. one from another header manufacturer. Yeah, to bad the bastards couldn't suck up to their mistake. Before we had after market headers available I was forced into replacing one of mine but, I did remove the shielding from both and had them ceramic coated I have about 10,000 miles on them so far and they seem to be doing fine. Regards, Vern

FWIW : I went the QV Rebuild route With Heat Shields about a year ago.Sounds exactly the same.
If you want it "Louder", replace your "Muffler".

I think our headers dominate the current market of aftermarket headers (not counting rebuilds) and there's a reason for it. They're reasonably priced, have proven dyno #'s behind them, and come with a lifetime warranty.

However there are cons, my fabricator is not the fastest on these, current wait on 2.7 headers (in stock so no wait) but on 5.2 headers is around 8 weeks, it tends to fluctuate depending on how many sets I have on order but an 8 week wait time may not always be convenient, short of sending them overseas and risking quality with mass production there's nothing I can do, and it's not something I plan on doing. We also had fitment issues with 4 sets, we believe we have solved the issue but I'll have to wait for more feedback to see if our solution has truly solved this problem. If you have further questions on these just give me a ring, I'll answer what I can and whatever I can't I'll find out for you.
