What seats do you have in there?
Did you have to do anything complicated to get them to fit or did they bolt right in? All the best, Andrew.
Can't remember. Think the seat rails had to be changed. Wasn't a drop in fit. Also the recliner knob had to be removed because the handbrake got in the way. Pics from today. pick it up next week. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Car transported by paintbrush to a Ferrari dealer to have a sticky throttle fixed and the AC panel replaced with a used one I have. Picking it up tomorrow. Very excited and will be taking the long way home.
I should have heeded your advice. Last night I damaged the splitter by hitting a kerb!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Noooooo!!!! Terrible luck, mate. Still at least it was just the splitter so it can come off for now, I take it? On a different note, now you have the fresh paint I'd recomend you try some swissvax (or swisswax) on it - gives a seriously deep shine on black paint....... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Repair or replace with a new one. Swissvax is the cheap stuff. I'm using Zymol Royale. £8,000 per tub
I'd switch then if I were you, Swissvax beats Zymol hands down. Besides Royale is about £8000 but that's for life, isn't it? At least always used to be. Swissvax may be cheaper at only £2000 but that's per pot (well 2 pots if I'm honest) and is formulated specifically for your paint, not some other chap's Bugatti. Anyway, I don't use either of the really expensive ones, or even crystal rock generally, though I have done. Just love the smell of Swissvax Scuderia so that's what goes on mine. Happy for a shiny contest against your £8000 stuff anytime you'd like though
No, this is my 348 when it had Royale Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Fair enough I actually think the swissvax just has it but the shot was outside so not really fair. As I said, personally I prefer the Scuderia wax to the more expensive Swissvax, just smells right and is formulated for soft paint, which Italian paint is hense the name of the wax (obviously not relevant for either of us now post resprays). I use pretty much all Swissvax products as they work well together but even if you don't I'd recommend giving swissvax Scud a go.
Fair enough mate. I actually read an article a while back pointing out why ALL of the really expensive waxes were a complete con - and I include Swissvax in that (but I like the smell so use it anyway). Interesting read but perhaps for another time
Back from the bodyshop all repaired....again. At HR Owen Ferrari to have a few bits sorted. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yep, never had a problem with HR Owen. Car always feels better than when i left it. So now, the drivers door won't open and passenger window not working. Hopefully fixed by friday as we are filming the car at Auto Italia on saturday.
Hope they're not painted closed, mate wheels standard 355? Look good whatever they are. That thing I sent to you went off but heavily edited btw. Also dug up some other stuff that relates to the track history of the car in Italy back in '93 and '94 etc that may be of interest. Will drop you a line sometime if you'd like.
