Looking to buy a 6spd and drive 10k miles a year.Which one is more dependable (assuming the clutch has been replaced on early Gallardos).I have owned a 360 but am thinking of going over to the dark side because I can't find a 6spd. 360 coupe non red.I have been told a Gallardo will have less
problems/dramas repair wise for the first 40k miles.I am looking to buy a 2004 360 or 2004 Gallardo asap.Thank you for your advice.

The 360 is a very reliable car. I would think the Gallardo would be similar, with the Audi influence (although Audi scored very low on the just-released Consumer Reports poll). I would call it a toss-up.

Cracks me up to when i read that the Gallardo is so reliable because of Audi.
I would never buy an Audi. Guess the question is really is Ferrari reliability in the new cars that bad or just in comparison to Audi?

2004 360 vs a 2004 G-car... First of all the buy price of the Lambo will be considerably less... Also no engine out work to perform... I am not a fan of Audi but the Lambo will be much less problems I would suspect...

Engine stays in the 360 during regular and major services. However, the Gallardo will be cheaper to service since it doesn't have timing belts. From what I've heard from G owners, oil cost less too (Mobil 1 vs Ferrari's Shell Helix). Not sure how much a clutch change cost in a Gallardo though (360 clutch change is about $2k).
