Can anyone provide any insight into which Ferrari club is the best to join. As far as I know, there are 2: Ferrari Owners Club and Ferrari Club of America. I don't own a Ferrari, yet (I'm still working on that), however, I do want to get as much info on the cars as possible and also tap into owner's experiences with their cars, so, when it is time to get my own, I will be able to make an informed decision on what year, model, etc., is best for me.

I'm in Ottawa, Ontario, so I'm not sure if one club or the other is better for this part of Canada.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks.

I know of only one here in Quebec. I've heard good things about it. I'm thinking of joining it myself next year. Here is the web site for it. But I'm sure there must be more in Ontario.

The Ferrari Club of America has an Eastern & Central Canada Region of which I am a member. You need not be an owner to join and the chapter members are awesome! Always really neat events, track days, dinners, etc. The Region covers Ontario/Québec.

The link to join the FCA is the following:

    https://www.ferrariclubofamerica.org/pages/join.cfm

Dues are $100 USD/year (details on the link).

You receive a copy of Prancing Horse which is one of the premiere Ferrari enthusiast magazines, as well as the FCA's Ferrari News. You also receive a copy of our chapter's magazine, Northern Prancer which has articles relating to past/future events. The membership dues allow you to take part in all of our chapter's FCA events.

If you like, I"ll put you in touch with Marie-Lise Lacroix, our Chapter's President. PM me if this is agreeable.

I don't beleive that FOC has any presence in Canada; in fact they do not seem particularly strong nationally in the USA, but do have strength regionally in various pockets.

You would be wise to choose FCA as a Canadian resident, and you are also wise to join now, and learn before you buy! ;)

There are several FCA members in Ottawa. There is also an Italian Day event in Ottawa (not FCA but a good event apparently), and plans to hold FCA track events at a new track in the vicinity.

There is one member in Ottawa who attends Toronto and Montreal events.

I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but there's only two ways to join that particular club:

    1. either your car comes from (and is serviced by) Luigi;
    2. or Luigi really REALLY likes you!

Your best bet is to join the FCA (Eastern Canada/Quebec chapter).

    Geez,

As far as I am concerned you have already tapped into the best resource here on Fchat. Owners of all makes and models, Guys and Girls that are exceptional at diagnosis and treatment of common problems with Fcars.

Most owners ( myself included) have no problem answering questions about their cars.

Use your 100USD to buy a subscription ( which reminds me that i have to do that )

I applied for FCA membership online about two weeks ago. So far there hasn't been any acknowledgement. For those of you that have joined FCA online what sort of wait did you have before your received something, either by email or regular mail?

I saw a application form online. It did not seem to have a prerequisite for joining. Aside from the 200$ fee.

Maybe a kind word from an already member will get you in. WINK WINK.

I sent in a snail mail application. Not only did they reply in about 2 weeks, but they sent a welcome kit with the latest editions of Prancing Horse and the newsletter. I've had excellent service with them.

On the other hand, I also joined the LCA (Lamborghini Club of Canada) Took almost 4 months to get one measly newsletter and I've received nothing since. Needless to say, I'm not impressed with the Lambo club.

    Best,
    Joel

Thanks everyone for your input. Looks like the FCA / East and Central Canada is the way to go. I'll send my subscription in, however this board is great to get advice on cars, technical issues, etc.
