    Hello,

I'm about to do a clutch job on my 97 6sp and while searching around for parts, I noticed on Superformance that there are two clutch discs available. Can anyone shed some light on what the difference is between the two? I assume the Valeo is OEM since it has the same part number but what's the difference with the Italian one?

    Thanks!

Superformance frequently offers alternate parts from a less expensive manufacturer. I’ve found it very difficult to get them to reveal the alternate part manufacturer. My experience. They do the same thing for badges, etc

My experience of Superformance parts has been disappointing. I don’t use them anymore because you never know if you are getting OE or “copy” parts of unknown quality/performance until they arrive. You also don’t always know what’s in stock or not until after the order process. For practically the same price you get OE parts from any number of alternative sources with known stock level before you put in your credit card details. I only buy from a couple of trusted suppliers now, Superformance isn’t one of them.

With a clutch disc and all that can go wrong (out of balance, etc) I would pay the extra 100 bucks and get OEM, especially since seller is not being up front about who makes it.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply guys. That's kind of what I figured especially since Superperformance doesn't provide *any* additional info on their website. I didn't know if they had any performance differences or not. I even emailed them and got a one sentence reply :/

I've only had one superformance experience, it wasn't great to be honest, but to be fair, I do live on the other side of the world. It seems if you are local to them then its a better experience.
I have had great results using Eurospares or Maranello.....
