Guys, I am looking at 3 355's, all Red/Tan, all manual, no accidents etc..., and those are the asking prices, before any price negotiations: 1- 1995 Ferrari 355 $72,000.00 1995 FERRARI 355 BERLINETTA, red/tan, all original, excellent condition, books and records, tubi exhaust, factory fender emblems, 28,100 miles, next service 35,000, car cover and bra. 2- 1997 Ferrari 355 $71,995.00 1997 FERRARI F355 BERLINETTA, 28K miles, red w/ tan leather, stainless headers, challenge grille, TUBI exhaust system, ec, professional maintained w/ 30k mi service complete, $71995, 3- 1997 F355 $69,000 Berlinetta, Red/tan. 25,000 miles. Challenge rear grille. Concours condition. Zero miles on an $8,800 major belt service done by Ferrari of Central Florida in December, 2007. What do you think about their prices? Any input as to which to go for? Should I wait longer and skip those? Thanks gentlemen.
I'm a car dealer, trust me when I say the market on F355's is terrible right now. I see 97-99 spiders going for $60-70k on a regular basis, you can't tell me a 95 GTB is the same price as a 99 Spider.
Of course the 95 should not be at that price, but I really meant it, I just could not find one. If you can find a good one (no accidents or issues, higher mileage is OK), I will buy it immediately. That's what I want and have been looking for (a 95 tb Yellow or Red/Tan). Let me know if you know of one.
Other than no mention of service records (and none mention valve guides and headers), this is the one. The others are vague about WHEN the major service was done. Offer $65k and drive that sucker away.
Dean, Many market "experts" on these forums love to talk about $50K-range 355s, but when a person actually goes out searching for a good 355, he finds that the cars in the 50s don't exist. Where are the $50K-range 355s? Where are they? Given the prices that you state, #3 sounds like the best deal, but I am partial to 1995 models so I personally wouldn't do that one or #2 for that matter. Car #1 sounds nice; maybe shave a few (2-5) grand off the price and take home your new F355. By the way, I am not aware that the factory was putting fender shields on the cars in 1995. I imagine that the shields were fitted during ownership.
Dave, I inquired about 3 355's that were in the mid to high $50K and every one of them turned out to have been in an accident. I think the 95 above at around $63K would be a fair price, high at $65K. But as you can see, its in the $70's. I still think #3 is the best choice, but I really wanted a 95! I guess you can't always get what you want!
Dave, I've been building it for 2 months... no one came!!! LOL!! Weather's getting better, Ferrari itch getting worse, sold the 348 ss, Ferrari flags in the garage with no Ferrari underneath them!!! Something's gotta give!!!!
Dean, I also was going to vote for #3. When I was looking for a 355, I decided not to go for a '95. I'm not an expert, but I do know that the '95's have 2 Motronic 2.7 engine management ECUs and therefore probably also have dual sensors (1 left bank, 1 right bank). The '96 and later cars have 1 Motronic 5.2, and I'm sure fewer sensors. Also, the 2.7s are OBDI while 5.2s are OBDII. Using some OBDII code readers, you can read at least some basic engine data (via PC) to help troubleshooting... not all data by any means though. A friend of mine who is also an ex-GM engineer has done it for a 355 owner. My 348 has the 2.7 system, and it is OK, in that you can read codes out via blinking dash lights, but can't get any data, although I haven't tried it yet. Not trying to talk you out of a '95, since some people prefer it, but newer models also likely have a few tweaks and upgrades. However, as long as you get a car with clean and documented history of care, confirmed services, and a clean PPI, you can't go wrong with whatever 355 you decide on!!
It's about making an offer, many dealers are desperate to get rid of F355's. It's not economy based they just are not selling right now. With 360's hitting $85k for a 99 model, there isn't much incentive to still pay $70-80k for the F355. It is now a $50-60k car, that's reality. Here are manheim prices which is what many dealers are paying to get cars. 95 GTB: 09/20/07 MANHEIM Regular $57,500 19,784 Avg RED 8G 6 No 09/13/07 RIVRSIDE Regular $53,000 32,667 Avg RED 8G M No 07/26/07 MANHEIM Regular $58,000 24,756 Avg GREEN 8G No 05/17/07 MANHEIM Regular $55,000 19,476 Avg RED 8G No 03/29/07 RIVRSIDE Regular $58,500 29,502 Avg YELLOW 8G M No GTS: 07/26/07 MANHEIM Regular $55,500 33,690 Avg YELLOW 8G 6 No Spider: 01/04/07 RIVRSIDE Regular $58,500 28,783 Avg BLACK 8G 6 No 02/23/07 NEVADA Regular $47,500 44,463 Avg RED 8G 6 No 05/17/07 MANHEIM Regular $63,000 31,469 Avg RED 8G 6 No 96 GTB: 12/12/06 DFW Lease $48,250 19,156 Avg RED 8G 6 No 10/18/07 MANHEIM Regular $51,500 31,901 Avg YELLOW 8G No GTS: 04/19/07 NEVADA Regular $54,500 19,208 Avg RED 8G 6 No 05/08/07 FAAO Regular $53,400 35,235 Avg RED 8G M No Spider: 10/11/07 RIVRSIDE Regular $52,000 25,417 Avg RED 8G A No 11/01/07 NEVADA Regular $58,000 25,422 Avg RED 8G 6 No 98 GTB: 02/19/08 DFW Lease $42,000 17,667 Avg YELLOW 8G A No
CALL any dealer and negotiate, usually dealers are willing to go down up to 10% of their listed price, sometimes even more. You will get turned away sure but eventually you will find a dealer looking to get rid of it. They may even turn away your offer initially then a few days later you get a call when they see that you are not desperate. 360 for $89.5k http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ferrari-360_W0QQitemZ120242209903QQcmdZViewItem 2000 360 for $95k, offer him high $80's and I'm sure he'll work with you. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PerfectServiceHistory-GarageKept-Immaculate-NoAccidents_W0QQitemZ280217351295QQcmdZViewItem And manheim prices for 99 360's 12/07/07 NEVADA Regular $85,000 21,818 Avg SILVER 8G A Yes 11/08/07 RIVRSIDE Regular $72,000 28,948 Avg SLVR 8G A Yes 10/25/07 W PALM Lease $68,000 41,904 Avg GREY 8G A Yes 10/19/07 MANHEIM Regular $80,000 26,238 Avg Red 8G Yes Come on guys, don't be as ignorant as to think asking prices are selling prices....... Kevin, thanks for the posting. Again, my luck is you'd post 360's you found at great prices and not a 355. If you spot a good one, please PM me as soon as you can. Again, Berlinetta's only, Yellow is first choice, Red/Tan is second and last. Thanks again.

Ferrari Market Letter. Sometimes, there is a car listed there and not everywhere else. It's current with its ads too
I found this site: www.vast.com It has a lot of cars but it seems a lot of ads are old and the ads are not up to date. In the "What" box type the car you are looking for (ie. Ferrari 355), and if you leave the "Where" box empty, you would get a national and some international listings.
8,677 miles. $82,500 Found it.... One owner.... buy it! (not at 82k though) http://www.bobileff.com/95_355b2_main.htm
