Which exhaust do you guys recommend for my Murcie, I want a nice mean sound. I heard Larini makes a good exhaust, any truth to this?? I had a Capristo level 3 on my 360 and it sounded great, so I was wondering on what makes the Lambo sound good also, the Murcie stock is just too damn quiet!!

My Murcie already has the upgraded/factory Roadster exhaust which reasonates perfectly to satisfy my needs. After years of subjecting my eardrums to various aftermkt exhausts, I'm trying prevent having to wear hearing aids by the time I turn 40.

Having said that, Mark @ SP will take good care of you. Their MS Stage II has earned high accolades from many. Good luck.

Search the archives on this forum as I asked this same question a week or so back. Also, give Lambo Power a read (under Murcielago) they have several threads on this subject and some of the posts have links to video clips with sound bits of the exhausts (Larini, Capristo and MS Racing are available).

Thanks for answering the PM I sent you.

I have a Tubi on my Murcie and its nice but it seems a bit loud at times. If you want the attention then its OK.

Your welcome Sportscarnut, is the MS-2 the racing exhaust or is that totally different??

I would refer to it as a racing exhaust for the street. I believe they leave the primary cats in place (avoids censor issues) but remove the secondary cats. The system adds a bit of HP as well. So, in my book it's about as close to a formula one sound as you can get for a Murcie street car.

Just saw your second post - it is exclusive to SP Engineering and they don't give the price for a very good reason :)

Update on the MS Racing Exhaust - I stand corrected, all the cats are removed on this system.

Sorry, been on vacation so i will respond accordingly. MS Racing exhaust as built in Japan was designed to eliminate 2 of the 4 cats on all USA equipped Murcielagos. From there, we took it upon ourselves to step things up and eliminate the remaining 2 cats. From my standards and preference, it is "hands down" the best sounding exhaust setup you can buy for the Murcielago. I say that with full confidence. Regardless of sound, the 30HP increase in power is something of reassurance as well. Now, I know alot owners aren't into heavy modifications, but if you have to do 1 upgrade, this would be it. I appreciate all the feedback and references from everyone. I hope this clears things up a little bit as I'm asked this at least once a day. =)

Sounds good but looks kinda like a mutant pig's nose. Wonder if they have different tips?

    I disagree!

I've now heard the following systems on video clips (all on Murcies) and they all sound great. Now I need to hear them in person to make a final decision:

    MS Racing
    Larini
    Capristo
    Tubi

I also heard the Orange County Lamborghini stage 1 custom exhaust in person and it was a bit benign for my ear.

When it says complete system does that mean headers, bypass cats, and cat back? If so then that is a $16,770 full system:eek:

I would rather spend the $5500 or so for the MS, or be happy with Tubi and save a few more bucks:D:D:D

They don't have a header system for the Murci, only exhaust. The Diablo system does have a header unit. When we USE to carry K, we purchased the complete system. I still think it's the only system they sold here in the states.

I'll have to check on the price again as they quoted me 8k for the complete system (what you hear in the F1 version clips 6-9), not 16.7k.

Also, ain't no way you're getting the MS Racing system for 5.5k, try doubling that :)

For stage 2 yes, double it. If just the Stage 1, I can make it close.

I got the $5500 price off your site, I was told the stage 2 was $10k but well worth the money. Is test pipes the only difference between stage 1 and stage 2?

I had and loved Tubi and OEM tips. Looked and sounded great and not boy racerish.

I would like to hear Marks answer to your question as well. So basically; What is the difference between the Stage I and Stage II exhaust system?
