which head unit looks nicer in the 355

Of the two you posted, the top one has the simplistic symetry well suited to a 355.

 

Neither, you have a 355 - never play the stereo!

The Pioneer unit would blend in much better.

 

The Alpine, my uncle has one in his 355 and it like it belongs there. Not the same model but same face colors.

 

The one with the remote. I hate leaning forward all the time to change
the station / volume. Besides, I cant hear the damn thing anyway 80%
of the time, the Tubi is too loud.

 

The Pioneer looks more suited to the 355!! Did you check out McIntosh?

I agree! The 355 is extremely elegant in its simplicity......

Alpine is the best also IMO. But that Pioneer unit looks nice.

 

Hate to burst anyone's bubble, but Alpine makes the factory (Honda) stereo in my wife's minivan. It does sound very, very good.

But it's not exactly exotic...

I like the look of the top one.

 

the alpine seems very common among ferrari owners. but to me does not match the car. like has been said above...simpler the better.

I have the Alpine. Sounds great when matched up to the bazooka tube - mine is the car in your other thread.

really blends in at night and has the full speed ipod connection

What do you guys think about keeping the stock radio for 'originality'? I don't have the CD changer anyway...and personally when I was looking to purchase a 355 I didn't care if it had the original radio or not. Too many other things to worry about before the radio...so I'm leaning towards selling the stock radio and going with a good Alpine (seems to be the brand of choice here!)

 

I'd say the Alpine looks better.
