    1) Straight line
    2) Race track
    3) Normal City Driving

    1. Straight line = Porsche, the Mercedes is limited to 155mph.
    2. Race track = Porsche.
    3. City driving = Both the same.

    I owned both of these vehicles (997 TT cab was 6 speed though) and although the Benz had tons of torque (500+) it felt terrible going fast unless in a straight line ... the handling and steering was crap ... not for me

    1) Straight line I was refering to acceleration too... Also, I do think that SL 55 top speed can be derestricted, right ?

    Acceleration wise the SL55 is on top of the Tip 997S,at any speed.
    DSG(PDK) is a different story though...

    i wanna say that the MB is faster from 50-150.
    the restricter is software so it can be "hacked."

    Both are just as fast when you push them off a cliff.....at the same time.....

    I have an SL55 and previous 996 turbo. There is no way a 997 S is faster straight line. My SL stock was within a car length or two of a 997 turbo ( very fast) and about as fast as a stage two 996.

    Carrera S is fast but not on par with a supercharged 55. Bunch of youtube vids with SL's running low 12's stock as well.
