In the NT try Route Twisk and Brides pool road, also the road from Stanley to Shek-O is very nice.

Route Twisk = TMS (Tai Mo Shan)

They're all too damn narrow, and therefore too dangerous...

My favourite (quick) blast would be up Nam Fung Road past South Island School, but it only lasts a minute or two.

Luk Keng is nice, but too many road users.

Last Wednesday, I made it from Happy Valley to Lok Ma Chau in 15 minutes, hit 310kph in the Tai Lam tunnel. Good high speed run, but it was done at 5:45 in the morning though, otherwise too many cars.

Oh well... The only safe place is ZIC (Zhuhai International Circuit) I guess...

I didn't know either! ;) But I was cruising at 170kph once I got out of the Western Tunnel, and I didn't feel it at all. I thought I was doing 100kph until I looked at the speedometer.

After that run, I was DAMN WIDE AWAKE considering it was 6am! I doubt I'd do it again though... Braking down from 310 in that tunnel was scary. The car shuddered, and at one point, I didn't think I was going to make it around the long bend at the end.

    You're not a policeman are you? :D :D :D

9 minutes for that run is MAD! Must have been middle of the night, right? If it was day-time, you'd only manage that in a helicopter! ;) :)

I don't think I've been caught on video... yet! :D

LOL yellow 360...hmmm..but seriuosly 310km top speed and averaging 170km/h i really want to know how you did it...must have been "well equiped" i guess ;)

Oooh... GSX-R... Now that is a different beast. Do you ride too? I used to race up at ZIC, and my profile pic is during my last race at Shah Alam in Malaysia on my R1 back in 2000. Unfortunately, I feel too old to be riding fast again, although I still keep in touch with some of the bike crowd.
Like I said, it was before 6am, and my Valentine One didn't emit a single beep... :D I talked to my friend about it, and we were saying it would have been nice to have been in one of those double-decker buses in the slow lane. Can you image the sight and sound of a yellow 360 doing 300kph IN the tunnel? Must have been awesome! :)

LOL the beautiful sound must have echoed more than a couple miles away thoughout the ends of the tunnel :D

i don't ride bikes but riding one in traffic jams is something i always want to experience! me and a couple buddies are always in yuen long because they're really into modifying japanese cars that is why always running @ TMS..but i am more into european automobiles and currently reading about the 355 because i am kinda in the market for one:)

i've never seen any Fcars running on TMS, but seen 993 and 996, a lot of bmws and MBs go run..i enjoy running through corners than straights, however if i have a 355 or a 360 like you no doubt i'll have to make crazy runs and beat the heck out of the car every once in a while like you..310km/h you are now my idol :D

How do you guys manage to drive so fast and not get caught? I though there are many police cameras in Hong Kong, especially in the tunnels.

Are radar detectors legal in Hong Kong?

One word: luck. Many camera boxes are empty and have no cameras in them. But, they do put cameras randomly, so you won't know which ones are armed unless you have a radar detector.

They also use manned radar/laser units and won't turn them on until they have you in sight. Detectors are pretty much useless under those circumstances. I got snapped once because of this, even though I had V1 on. I got zapped again this morning, but I wasn't over the speed limit, so no ticket.

Detectors are technically legal in HK as they are passive devices.

I live in Clear Water Bay and that's a great road too. Just picked up my 2nd 355 yesterday, red 97 manual with challenge grille and exhaust. Anyone else from the CWB area?

On another note, you maye have seen me hooning around in my Lotus Elise S2, gunmetal colour and very loud. Just in process of moving it to ZIC as it's not road legal anymore. The 355 feels very wobbly compared to my race prepped Elise...

    Hi Tony!

We typically get together on Sunday mornings for a drive and chat. You are more than welcome to join us in this ritual. Bob (Sega355) is in this group as well.

I live out here in Tuen Mun, and I typically meet up with another fellow f-chatter in Kowloon Bay before heading over to the island to meet with the rest of the guys. If you interested, feel free to PM me with your contact number for more info.

Woo hoo! Be safe though! ;)

What does it take to get a ticket out there? I never see any cops giving tickets.

    Dems fightin' words! :D

Who has a capristo in HK anyway?

I've been down Aberdeen Tunnel with the guy from DMS Automotive, who enjoyed it immensely. Slowed right down to a crawl, slapped it into 2nd, and off we went! A bit narrow though, and terribly greasy. I prefer Tai Lam Tunnel in the wee hours of the mornin'. ;)

Isn't the Tai Lam tunnel the longest?

I have no idea who has a capristo over there... in fact I haven't met anyone who owns a Ferrari there. Or maybe they do and didn't say anything... hmm

Anyway, it would be a waste to have those tunnels available at 6 am and not have a capristo! And film it.... be safe who ever does it. I just want to hear the sound... no speeding necessary.

Going through them while I was there I kept imagining what it would be like to have our f-car going through them.

Having the car rev.... vrooom vroom! Yeah Baby!! The look on the people you pass by would be priceless!

Are you visiting HK at the moment? If you are you should hear Mark's(banduga) exhaust, its very wild sounding but does create a good amount of heat.
