Which line is the fuel return?

I'm assembling a European 85 QV that had the engine removed when I got it, and have a question about which line on the fuel distributor connects to the metal line from the pump and which one goes to the return line to the tank?
There are two braided steel lines on the fuel distributor both of which are the same length. These go to the hard steel lines on the pass side of the car but which line goes where?. One is the feed from the fuel pump and the other is the return to the tank.

Any help would sure be appreciated!

Put a bucket under the lines, and power up the pump. If there is fuel in it, you will know which line it is.

 

I may not have explained myself well, but I already know which line in the car goes to the tank and the fuel pump, I just am not sure which lines they connect to on the fuel distributor..

The fuel into the FD connects to the nipple that has the fine mesh filter in it.

The return line nipple on the FD has no such screen/filter.
