    Question:
I picked up my 360 in October, and it came twitch both SanFran wheels and 11mm Hill Engineering spacers.
As I get fender rubbing and scraping over big compressions and bumps, I wanted to remove the front spacers. When I do so, the wheel bolts that were already on the car with the wheels are too longs for the hub, and effectively lock the wheels In place, unable to rotate. I had read (and have been told) that the proper shank length is 30mm with a conical head. These bolts are indeed that length and head shape, but clearly too long. I’m confused.
    Can anyone help provide insight?

    thanks,
    Jeremy

Just get your inner fenders rolled. It's what they did on all the 360 Challenge cars at factory and many alloy wheel specialists can do it for you with a specialist tool. After that it should not rub.

Wheel spacers are good for handing on the 360 as they will give it a wider track which is particularly helpful on the front which will reduce understeer. This was also done on the 360 N-GT except they went much wider which required front fenders to be flared.

If your looking for genuine handling improvement get geometry rechecked too to see it it was redone after the spacers fitted. I posted before my fast road handling setup spreadsheet if you do a search. If you cannot find it I can repost as it was many years ago now.

Hey Trev, the fenders were actually already rolled by the previous owner and they still catch the lip. It only happens on big compressions, dips, bumps etc, when a passenger is in the car.
Additionally, I believe the SanFran wheels were designed with an additional 9mm of offset vs the OEM CS wheel, so it’s the equivalent of running 20mm spacers at this point.
Looks good, but sounds ungodly every time it bottoms out!
I’m trying to find M14x1.5 conical seat bolts with a 20mm shank length, but it appears there’s no such thing.
I’d love to know what bolt size everyone is running on their SanFran wheels because I though 30mm was supposed to work without spacers!
