Sorry for the ignorance, but what does this mean? And does it make the 99 less valuable? I am just entering the market for a 360 and have been considering 99s for the obvious price reason. Thanks for any responses.

It's the reason that 99's make more HP.

Rifle driver is right. Every Ferrari mechanic I have ever talked to said the 99's are slightly faster and a little bit louder!

Ferrari like any other car company makes constant improvements, so in many ways later cars have benefitted from that.

I also know of instances where the precats have disintigrated and been ingested into the motor causing great damage. I was involved in a suit against Ferrari that resulted in a large settlement being paid for just that reason.

If I was to buy a post 99 car I would consider consider finding a way to do something about the precats.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the 360 had little to no improvements in its run. If I am right, the 99 should be the car everyone is looking for, faster, louder, less heat under the hood, and priced a little cheaper. Ferrari cats aren't cheap, so two is better than four. A little warning and info about the 99's if you live in Ca, they have to go to the referee for smog as they have an issue with there OBD2 port communication.
