    When did Ferrari start putting event data recorders in their cars? I believe US federal law did not require them before 2014 but many manufacturers, particularly GM, started adding them as early as the late 90s and early 2000s.

    side note, i knew someone who had a m4 (not current model, one before so 2018 i guess??) and he was involved in a crash, they couldnt access data as his car was tuned and bmw australia couldnt unlock it, apparently he preferred that was the case in his circumstances and as it was aftermarket tune it locked whole ecu from anyone else? Food for thought
