Maybe the bidders spent the week watching Barrett Jackson and got hooked on overbidding?

Maybe, but unless you have alot of connections--it would take forever cleaning stuff up, tearing stuff apart to sell it enough to make a profit at that pice. 10K--I would agree, but 25K--good luck.

That car looks like it was either in in one of the many hurricanes down there, or was at the bottom of a lake. Convienient that it has no keys but they were "told it runs". Like how they pick it up with that fork lift. Really shows they dont think much of it.

I agree its a parts car, and not worth more than $10K.

The price is normal for the damage it has i think. Its repairable. And on that build year i saw prices arround 25000-26000$ non spider. For 10.000$ i would buy 10 of them repair it and sell it. And its not even hard to get more then 10.000$ out of it. The engine alone is over the half of the 10000$. Seats 1000$. But i think the possible new owner is bidding to repair the car. From the pictures some new suspension arms are needed. Front Bumper. The rest can be repaired without new parts. If i see right on the seat is a bumper part if he has all bumperparts there then he maybe can also repair the bumper. So part costs are low only a lot of work is needed. From 1-10 on how difficult to repair it where 10 is worst i would say its a 2-3. For only 10000$ it has to be a 10 when the engine and rest of the technic is still working.

    Replace front bumper $2K
you can get a used one for ~500$ i got my 355 challange bumper for 450$

    Replace front left fender $2K
you dont need to replace it i dont see any damage on them but if there are damage it can be fixed. But if you like to replace it you can get fenders for ~100-200$

    Replace front right fender $2K
    same as left fender

    Replace front lenses $300
front lenses for the 348 are hard to find used if he put a 355 bumper on he gets the front indicators a set for 100$ used.

    Replace front spoiler $1K
what do you mean with front spoiler? If you mean the part under the bumper its already in the price i told for the frontbumper its sold as one part.

Replace all emblems inside and out $2K
300-400$ complete all used in good condition

Repair/replace rockers on both sides $1500
all together 800$ used in good condition.

    Replace interior door panels $2K
i cant see the door panels in the pictures only a part if only the one part in the middle is missing it would be arround 500$ for both doors.

    Replace/repair left rear fender $1K
nod needed could be repaired very easy

    Replace/repair right rear fender $1K
    same

    Comprehensive 30K service $10K
a person who buys a damaged car to rebuild didn't need someone else to do it.

New keys fitted and cut $500
    yes

Misc. stuff that you didn't see in the photos $5K
hard to say something about things won't seen in the picture. but i would say 5000$ is ok with the needed paint job and other part repairs.

so i would say 30950$ end price for a 1994 spider. with complete new paint. But thats the point of view of someone who can do the reparing hisself and gets the needed parts for cheap. If you put the car to the local ferrari dealer and only say make it new ofcorse a damaged ferrari is always to expensiv to repair.

Here are some prices what i payed for parts i bought

    front upper rocker 50$
    rear lower rocker 25$
    front right fender 120$
    355 challange frontbumper 400$
355 front indicators both new 140$
    355 rear lights all 4 genuine 450$
    355 rearbumper 250$
    355 exhaust 120$
    ferrari front logo 100$
pinnin side logos 20$ a set
    brake calipers front both 100$
    front hood 1000$
headlights complete with motors, pods, lights all both sides 400$
    355 hood scoop 80$
    fronthood sealing new 35$
    fuel filters new both 4$
    360 exhaust manifolds both 120$
    348 challange seats both 150$
    355 sidemirror 130$
355 side doorscoops both sides 450$

you see if you have time and know where to get cheap parts you get them very cheap.

I'd assume $10k for other items (clutch) ie and you also have 47k miles to consider.
Not a bargain at all at $63k.

You can buy a F355 spider for less.

I agree 100%, but I think that many people don't realize the amount it would cost to fix.

You forgot the new engine and tranny. Because they were "told" it runs.
