    There has been so much discussion lately about all the different types of (super) cars that I started to wonder......... which one is really the best supercarmaker?

    Ferrari?
    Lamborghini?
    Porsche?
    Koenigsegg?
    Ford?
    Spyker?
    Aston Martin?
    Pagani Zonda?
    Bugatti?

    is this another practical joke?
    and Pagani Zonda, isn't a car maker....
    Porsche - konigssegg only make 1 current supercar.......
    Spyker is barely publicized
    What ford? the GT?
    What Aston? the VanquishS?

    Stays a very personal matter IMO...

    What's best for one man isn't neccessarilly for another...
    Everyone's got different views on the defination of a real supercar... and has eye for other details... Some things can be very important for someone, while the same aspect is completely irrelevant for another! Plus there's the aspect of personal emotion.
    The best doesn't exist, there's always room for improvements!

    Besides, each carmaker also has their own house philosophy.
    They all made good and less good cars, had their good and their bad periods, made good and bad decisions...

    And the best in what? Reliabilaty? Sales? Performance? Prestige?

    At the end, each carmaker is the best in their own way... just trying to beat the others... sometimes they succeed, sometimes they fail...

    Seriously, I think that it is not possible to give a satisfactory answer to this question.
    As the performances are so extraordinary to forbid full exploitation during 99% of driving time, then you go to personal taste. Ferrari Superamerica is the ultimate supercar to me.

    And if Pagani Zonda isn't a car maker than what are they?

    It is just a question that will show the personal taste of all the people on this forum. I personally like the koenigsegg very much.

    I think he meant that Pagani is a car maker, and the Pagani Zonda (C12, F or whatever) is a one of their models. ;)

    EDIT: I guess what you said is like saying that Porsche Carrera GT is a carmaker. ;)

    Koenigsegg is an interesting car... Faster than the Enzo and Carrera GT, but thats all it has. It lacks the beauty a supercar should have.

    - No, i only thought it was a joke because Simon mentioned the other thread about Porsche and Ferrari was somewhat of a joke?...pardon me.

    Carlo, I am sorry! It was a joke!
    I just opened this thread in line of all the other "which is better" threads. A few of us have been on this forum for some years now and we know that this kind of threads give always the same responses.
    Many Ferrari owners/lovers have the problem that they think that Ferrari is THE only supercar producer in the world. I like to tease them from time to time.

    But.... welcome on this board. We hope that you will enjoy this forum. You have quite some reading to do if you want to catch up with the history of the Euro section.

    It is a special bunch of people.

    Guys,
    You all know I am not a totally Ferrari freak. There are a lot of different cars and brands I like. But for the best supercar I would say:

    Modern: Ferrari Enzo. I just like the looks.
    Classic: Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale.
    Of all times: F40!!
