Just a simple obvious question and yet when I thought about it, I honestly couldn't decide and not immediately thinking 488 troubled me. I'm no longer bowled over by the 488, a few years has dulled its edges and enhanced the competition, but then I realised that you have not really given it fair competition. Surely the answer would be the 488VS

Hmmm Ferrari forum, I wonder what will be most popular. In order to get a real response you will need to use a different forum such as 6 speed. Too many people here are enamored by a certain badge. Waste of time.

    Interesting numbers so far...

I think people in Ferrari Chat are honest and the numbers show that.

Need to change to 488 gto/vs. definitely would take that over the performante or gt2 rs. I would consider a 720s next year when its 250k.

Performante, 720S, 488, GT2RS in that order. Bearing in mind that I have no personal experience with the latter but after owning 10 Porsches over the last 15 years, no longer interested.

I voted Huracan P, I’m in the minority. I’d go same order as Coincid. Porsche would be a distant 4th for me. Ferrari and 720 neck and neck. HP wins on sound, looks, cool factor imo.

Have driven all but the GT2 RS. I picked the Performante as I think that is the best all round car in real situations. It is fast enough for public traffic (could use another 100 or 200hp though especially on the track), has an awesome transmission, involving drive and the grip is just awesome. The race mode is a work of art as well. It is fun on track and on public roads.
As for the 720s, it is a cool car but it starts to make fun once in the higher speed and when you can properly smash the throttle. When driving on streets it feels numb and is a dull sounding experience imho. As for the 488...... 458 is still the best mid engine v8 Ferrari ever produced. Not only for the sound but also for the overall driving experience. I know some of you will think otherwise but I am basing my opinions off of street driving which is 99% of the actual use of these cars.

Poll should be 488VS...if so I would have selected that.

Exactly, then you are up against the 720LT or whatever it will be called. If you think about it, the 720 is the std car competing against the best from Porsche and Lamborghini. The 488 - well as I said this is a Ferrari forum so take the votes with a grain of salt.

This is about what is on the ground TODAY to buy.

And you keep saying results will be slanted, well if you actually look, it's not all in favor of Ferrari. ACTUALLY, most have voted for something other than Ferrari if you add up percentages. There is no science here--I take everything on car forums with a grain of salt. It's just a snap shot of thoughts at this moment. And I think Fchat forum has the most balanced set of buyers as they've probably owned, own or will own several of these models.

Great - another thread for Coincid to wax poetic about the Perf and for Gh21631 to try to convince us that the test numbers and comfort of his 720 trumps the appearance and drama of the others.

I voted as if I didn't have a Speciale and couldn't buy anything other than these 4, and voted 488. In retrospect, I should have voted none of the above as I would buy a Speciale over any of these any day of the week and twice on Sunday. If I assumed I still had the Speciale, I'd probably choose the GT2RS.

Exactly my thought process. I have a Speciale, which I adore, and so I chose the Porsche...a very interesting and exciting car that adds a different driving experience to the Italians.

Show me one post where I stated the comfort and/or performance of a 720 trumps anything. Also, I initially tried to pick up a GT2RS before buying my 720 but I didnt want to wait or pay over list but I still may pick one up and add it as a friend just located one.

If you have a Speciale then you have an awesome car that I may not part with for any of the cars listed and thats coming from someone who says their car trumps everything.... Some people talking out of their ass as usual on here.

They are slanted. Same poll on a more neutral forum will not have the 488 with so many votes. Just my opinion.
